Schedule of Events for 2011- 2012

Board Meetings . . .

The Fulton County Arts Council meets on the second Tuesday of every other month at the Graham Hospital Atrium Gallery or in the first floor conference room at 7:00 p.m. The membership is invited and encouraged to attend.

Annual Membership Show . . . November 8, 2011 - January 10, 2012 . . . Check in: November 8, 2011, 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. at the Graham Hospital Atrium Gallery.

Show open only to members of the Fulton County Arts Council. Entries must be framed and have a sturdy wire type hanger on the back with screw eyes at least 3/16 inch. Entries must have an image size of at least 8x10 inches and be no larger than 36 inches framed size in length or width. Three dimensional objects must be small enough to be displayed in the gallery curio cases. Click here for show specifications and entry form.

Featured Artist Show . . .January 10 - March 13, 2012 . . . Graham Hospital Atrium Gallery. The Art of Mary Ellen Carver.

A special exhibit of watercolor and pastel paintings by Canton resident and artist Mary Ellen Carver.

Illinois Wildlife Photography Competition and Show . . . February 11- March 11, 2012 . . . Dickson Mounds Museum Gallery.

The Fulton and Mason County Arts Councils, in partnership with Dickson Mounds Museum will again be hosting the Wildlife Photography Competition and Show. The competition consists of awards three categories: Youth (17 and under), Amateur, and Professional. Entries in each category are judged by People’s Choice through March 4. Winners and participant list will be posted on March 5.

Entry forms and rules can be picked up at Dickson Mounds Museum, the Havana Public Library, or downloaded with this link. Completed entry forms and entries should be dropped off at the Havana Public Library by no later than February 4, 2 p.m.

Digital Art Show . . . March 13 – May 8, 2012 . . . Check in: March 13, 2012, 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. at the Graham Hospital Atrium Gallery.

A show that may include anything digitally created or manipulated by camera and computer. Entries must be framed and have a sturdy wire type hanger on the back with screw eyes at least 3/16 inch. Fine Art Show . . . May 8 – July 10, 2012 . . . Check in: May 8, 2012, 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Graham Hospital Atrium Gallery.

The Clothesline Project . . . October, 2012 at the Graham Hospital Atrium Galley.

An exhibit sponsored by the Fulton/Mason County Crisis Center. The clothesline project is a program started on Cape Cod, MA, in 1990 to address the issue of violence against women. Details to be announced.
